Matching pair of dolls from the Philippines. They are cloth over wire dolls with a pressed material faces. Both are marked in handwriting under their stands; 'Muslim lady from the Philippines' and 'Muslim man holding a kris. Southern Philippines'. A kris originally is an Indonesian dagger and in the Philippines it is more like a sword and called kalis. Some discoloration to the front, especially of the male trousers.
