Doll most likely made by Layna, wearing the costume of the Valencia region in Spain. Made of cloth over wire with a pressed material face. Dating from the 1950's. Costume overall yellowed with age but still very lovely; note the gauze shoulder piece lined with tiny little see-through sequins. The gauze apron is embroidered with gold thread and also lined with see-through sequins. Standing on a piece of wood. Missing an ornament to her left side bun and wire coming through the hands.
This doll is pictured with only one pair of red castanets. The second pair of castanets that should be in her other hand was found later on. So the doll comes with two castanets!
