Interesting doll representing a Lajkonik. A Lajkonik is a Tatar riding a horse, part of a festival held in the city of Krakow once a year. He dances around accompanied by musicians, visiting shops and restaurants, hitting people gently with his mace and gathering bounties. The origin of this ritual is unknown, it probably dates from the middle ages. With original Cepelia label underneath that reads 'Lalki Regionalne Lajkonik Hand Made Cepelia'.
