This doll is part of a series of more than 100 dolls, all dressed differently in authentic Dutch regional costumes, often carrying little attributes like baskets, flowers and so on. They are standing on their own brown plastic or wooden nameplates. It is a fantastic series and it is not easy to find them all.
This Dutch male doll represents an organ man from the Jordaan area, located in the centre of Amsterdam. He is holding a metal 'centenbakkie', a penny box to collect money in while playing the street organ. He is a plastic doll with eyes that open and close, standing on a brown plastic stand marked 'Jordaan'.
