Two popular souvenir dolls from Rajasthan in India. They are a matching pair of Kathputli puppets. Kathputli is a form of string puppet theatre. These puppets don't have any strings to hang or move them by though. Heads are made of painted wood, the rest is partly stuffed fabric. The female has a plain green undergarment decorated with sequins. The male is playing a flute with two pipes called pungi.
