This lovely doll is wearing traditional everyday/working dress from the town of Giethoorn in the province of Overijssel in The Netherlands. Giethoorn is often called 'the Venice of the North' because of it's many waterways and bridges. She is a plastic doll with a vinyl face. Hand crocheted scarf around the shoulders, velvet bag. Size 29 cm/11,5 inches. Very good condition with one little spot of dirt on the inside of her white cotton underskirt. More pictures below.
