More than 100 different models of this type of doll have been produced, all representing dutch regional costume. They are dressed in a very authentic way and often carry little atrributes like baskets, flowers and so on. They are standing on their own brown plastic or wooden nameplates. It is a fantastic series and it is not easy to find them all. This doll is one of them. This is a doll dressed in traditional sunday costume of the famous fishingtown Volendam near the IJsselmeer in The Netherlands. She is a plastic sleepy eyed doll on a plastic stand. White cotton underskirt, black socks and wooden shoes. Good condition for the doll, her stand has a tiny crack along the side. Size 19 cm/7,5 inches. More pictures below.
