Doll made by the famous English dollmaker Norah Wellings. The doll is entirely made of soft materials. Her head is molded and covered by a layer of fabric and then handpainted. She is wearing a velvet dress and a large felt hat. Her shoes are velvet as well and there is a label sewn under one of them 'Made in England by Norah Wellings'. She is in wonderful condition except for a vague darker area on her forehead, hardly visible. She must be dating from before 1959 because in that year the Victoria Toy Works, Norah's company, stopped production. Size 28 cm/11 inches. Stand not included. The original wrist tag reads 'Norah Wellings Productions' on one side and 'Old English' on the other.
