This is a very sweet doll dressed in the traditional costume from Rättvik, in the Dalarna province in Sweden. She is made of celluloid, very light material. Her arms and legs are moveable, her head is not. Molded hair and painted socks and shoes. She is in very good condition, probably dating from the late 1960's or early 1970's. She has her original tag attached to the back of her skirt reading 'Rättvik, A 950/2'. She is glued onto a piece of cardboard that has 'Sweden, Rättvik' in handwriting on the bottom. Size 22 cm/8,5 inches without hat. More pictures below. The postcard shows an example of the real costume and is not included in this sale!
