There are more than 100 different models of this type of doll, all representing dutch regional costume. They are dressed in a very authentic way and often carry little atrributes like baskets, flowers and so on. They are standing on their own brown plastic or wooden nameplates. It is a fantastic series and it is not easy to find them all. This doll is one of them. This lovely little doll is in traditional dress from the Gelderland province in The Netherlands (Holland). She is wearing her best costume - suitable for going out or a church visit - consisting of a long blouse, a skirt and an apron, all black. The apron has black lace ribbon at along the bottom for decoration. A plain white cotton underskirt completes the outfit. Her bonnet is for the most part made of white lace and has a black underpiece. Black wool socks and black plastic shoes. She is a plastic doll with eyes that open and close. She has lost her brown plastic stand. Size19 cm/7,5 inches. Excellent condition. More pictures below.
