This is a stunning Santon doll from the Provence region in France, an older lady carrying an umbrella and a soft fabric bundle. She is signed 'André Guigon'. This doll is made of painted stone/pottery which is solid and rigid. Her arms and waist are partly wired to make them bendable. Size 25 cm/10 inches. Condition is fantastic. More pictures below.
