This doll is so lovely! Made of celluloid with arms and legs movable, her head is rigid. She is dressed in the traditional sunday costume of the famous fishingtown Volendam near the IJsselmeer in The Netherlands. 'Volendam' is in handwriting under one wooden clogg. Good condition for age, probably dating from the 1950's. With label sewn to the back of her skirt 'Dovina, Rotterdam - Holland'. Her headdress has discolored, but she is absolutely undamaged and fine otherwise. She is wearing a multicolored underskirt, white cotton bloomers and black wool stockings. Size 24 cm/9,5 inches including her headdress.
