This old doll is so lovely! Made of celluloid with arms and legs movable, her head is rigid. She is dressed in the traditional costume of Zuid Beveland in the Zeeland province of The Netherlands. She comes from the city of Goes, according to the handwriting under one wooden clogg. Good condition for age, probably dating from the 1950's. With label sewn to the back of her skirt 'Dovina, Rotterdam - Holland'. She also has a visible turtle mark at the back. There are light brown age spots all over her apron (it could be gently washed because it looks removeable) and her headdress has discolored, but she is absolutely undamaged and fine otherwise. She is wearing a striped multicolored underskirt, white cotton bloomers and black wool stockings. Size 21 cm/8,2 inches.
